WMU
"For we are laborers together with God." 1 Corinthians 3:9a
 This is their permanent watchword for WMU or Woman's Missionary Union. 
 
The WMU exists to serve one purpose:"to help the church carry out the mission
it has been given by God to reach the world."
 
How this is accomplished varies greatly but the purpose of missions is always the same. 
One of our women's ministries at Immanuel Baptist Church is WMU. 
Our purpose is the same as all WMU groups, missions.
 
Missions outreach opportunities abound from offerings for state missions,
international missions and local support of various projects.
